Original 7 Barrel Aged Series - Extra Stout aged in Jameson Casks (1l, 9.3% ABV)

Original 7 Beverage Co. begins its Barrel Aged Series with a traditional lrish Extra Stout. This was brewed using lrish Ale Malt, flaked oats, malted wheat, roast barley and dark crystal malts for a fullbodied beer with strong coffee and dark fruit flavours, with a dark chocolate and coffee aroma.
Our friends in The Jameson Distillery in Midleton decanted 6 ex-bourbon casks of Jameson Whiskey before delivering them straight to Head Brewer, Páidi Scully, to fill with our lrish Extra Stout.
Our lrish Extra Stout has aged for 6 months in these casks, picking up some of the recognisable characteristics of Jameson Irish Whiskey such as caramel, vanilla, nuttiness and a little spice.
